Top-100 Gators signee Alex Lloyd makes noise at Jordan Brand Classic

A versatile wing and top-100 prospect in the 2025 class, Alex Lloyd is fresh off making a solid impression at the Jordan Brand Classic, showing why the Florida Gators are excited about his future. He displayed his smooth scoring touch against the nation’s elite, finishing with 11 points on an efficient 5-of-6 shooting.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Lloyd is the No. 12 small forward and No. 45 overall prospect his class.
“Lloyd is an intriguing player who showed some bursts of scoring ability,” On3’s Jamie Shaw said regarding his performance. “While thin, he plays with nice length and some sneaky explosive pop. Lloyd gets to spots, and he is capable of scoring at each level. He will need to continue adding weight and how he sees the floor, but there is some intrigue in there as a microwave scorer.”
Lloyd’s efficient showing added to the buzz around his name as he wraps up his prep career. He starred at Miami Westminster Academy, where he became known for his natural scoring instincts and ability to heat up in a hurry. He’s been one of the more respected prospects in Florida over the past few years.
Florida’s coaching staff identified Lloyd as a priority target early in the recruiting process. His skill set and fit in the Gators’ system made him a strong match, leading to his commitment last April. The chance to compete in the SEC and play in a fast-paced system were major draws for the 4-star prospect.
