After opening the 2025 season with a blowout win over LIU, the Florida Gators are set to host USF this weekend. Ahead of the Gators’ matchup with the Bulls, it’s been officially named as a sellout, marking the 14th-straight sellout at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The sellout is the 18th overall under head coach Billy Napier. Four home games were sold out in Napier’s first season at Florida. The following year, five of UF’s home games were sold out under Napeir. This past season, all seven Florida Gators home games were marked as being sold out. Both contests in 2025 have sold out.

Kickoff for the Florida Gators game against USF is set to kick off at 4:15 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on SEC Network.

Single-game tickets are still available for the remaining Florida Gators home games this season. Fans can purchase tickets at FloridaGators.com, by calling the Gator Ticket Office at (352) 375-4683, or in person at Gate 2 on the west side of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Per D1.Ticker, UF had an average home attendance last season of 90,017 [Michigan led, with an average of 110,548] to rank 10th nationally. By comparison, Miami averaged 59,931 and Florida State averaged 53,479.

The Florida Gators are 1-0 this season

The Florida Gators handled Long Island last weekend in week 1 and came away with a 55-0 win.

Sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway, slowed early in preseason practice with a calf injury, started the game and finished an efficient 15 of 18 for 120 yards and three touchdowns. He’s now 7-1 as a UF starter. Lagway played just one half on Saturday before freshman backup Tramell Jones entered the game. Jones finished his first game with the Gators, throwing for 131 yards and two scores on 12-of-18 passing.

The UF running game produced 200 yards, 104 coming on only nine carries from sophomore back Jadan Baugh. He had one touchdown and a long rush of 26 yards.

True freshman Vernell Brown III was one of the stars of the night for UF. He became just the third true freshman receiver in school history to start a season opener. Brown finished with three catches for 79 yards, which included a spectacular one-handed grab that covered 41 yards. He also had two punt returns for more than 20 yards.

Meanwhile, the UF defense held LIU to a total of 86 yards and only two first downs. Junior safety Bryce Thornton recovered two fumbles, returning one for six to kick off UF’s scoring in the first quarter.

Florida now owns a five-game winning streak dating back to last season. That streak is currently the longest in the SEC.
