Despite earning a big win over No. 22 LSU on Saturday night in The Swamp, the Florida Gators are a significant underdog against their next opponent — Ole Miss.

Per betting lines from FanDuel, Florida currently is a 10.5-point underdog (-115) against the Rebels, whom the Gators face in Gainesville, Fla., this coming Saturday at noon ET on ABC. The money line for Ole Miss as a double-digit favorite is -360 with the Gators’ being at +280 as the underdog.

The over/under is set at 56.5.

Florida, now 5-5 overall and 3-4 in the SEC, beat LSU 27-16 behind the play of quarterback DJ Lagway and a strong defense that sacked the Tigers seven times and had 11 tackles for loss. Lagway was 13-of-26 passing for 226 yards and one touchdown. He now has thrown for 1,297 yards, 7 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on the season.

Lagway missed the previous Florida game with a hamstring injury and the Gators lost to Texas 49-17 on the road. Saturday’s win ended a two game-losing streak for Florida this season and a five-game skid against LSU.

Ole Miss is 8-2, 4-2 in the SEC. The Rebels were off this weekend. They beat Georgia 28-10 at home in their most recent game.

The Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels are tied in the all-time series 12-12-1. The teams last played each other in 2020 and the Gators won 51-35. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has thrown for 3,409 yards this season, the second-highest total in the country. He has 22 touchdown passes and only four interceptions.
