Florida has 6 new players on injury report, Caleb Banks removed
The Florida Gators issued their initial availability report Wednesday night along with Tennessee. It’s the first of four injury reports that will be released before the Gators (3-7, 2-5 SEC) face the No. 20 Volunteers (7-3, 3-3 SEC) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
Florida defensive lineman and preseason All-SEC selection Caleb Banks is set to make his return and has been removed from the injury report, while the Gators have six new additions this week, including nose tackle Michai Boireau and EDGE George Gumbs Jr. both of whom are out.
It will be Banks’ first time playing since the LSU game, when he made his season debut and reinjured his foot, which required surgery. Banks was listed as doubtful last week and upgraded to a game time decision for the Ole Miss game.
The other additions to the availability report are offensive lineman Austin Barber, tight end Tony Livingston, safety Bryce Thornton and quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. Barber and Jones are probable, while Thornton and Jones Jr. are listed as questionable.

Boireau and Gumbs are two of 12 Florida players out against Tennessee, along with wide receivers Eugene Wilson III and Dallas Wilson, running back Ja’Kobi Jackson, offensive lineman Roderick Kearney, EDGE LJ McCray, linebacker Ty Jackson, and defensive backs Aaron Gates and Dijon Johnson, Michael Caraway Jr. and Javion Toombs.
The Vols have five players out and two listed as questionable.
