Florida lineman Jake Slaughter named to On3 All-American team
Despite having high NFL Draft projections following the 2024 season, Florida Gators offensive lineman Jake Slaughter decided to return to school for his final year of eligibility ahead of the 2025 season. Though the Gators had a tough season on the field, which ended with a 4-8 season, Slaughter was one of a few bright spots for UF’s offense. Slaughter was named a finalist for the Rimmington Award on Monday and was also named to the Coaches’ first team All-SEC list on Tuesday. However, another accolade came Jake Slaughter’s way on Wednesday morning when he was named to the On3 College Football All-American list.
UF’s Jake Slaughter earns his first postseason All-American nod
On3’s Chris Low published the network’s first and second team All-American list on Wednesday morning. Low highlighted each player named to the list, and not only praised his performance in a down year for the Orange and Blue, but also his career in Gainesville.
“Slaughter has started 33 games over the past three seasons for the Gators and has been a rock in the middle of that offensive line,” wrote Low. “The 6-4, 303-pound redshirt senior allowed just one sack this season and further validated his position as the most complete center in college football after earning All-America honors a year ago.”
This season, Slaughter played as the starting center in all 12 contests and logged a total of 748 snaps. He allowed just one sack, one quarterback hit, and two hurries to close out the season.

Furthermore, Slaughter earned a season PFF Pass Block grade of 87.1 after having a grade of 70.0 or higher in 11 of the games he played in this season. He also notched a PFF Offense grade of 78.9 and a Run Block grade of 78.9. In PFF’s rankings, Slaughter also ranks eighth in the country for his grades in Run Block, Pass Block, and Offense grades. He ranks fifth in the country for his Zone Run Block grade with an 80.3.
Jake Slaughter will play his final game at the college level on Jan. 31, when he takes part in the Panini Senior Bowl in Mobile (Ala.). That game is tabbed as the premier college football all-star game for draft-eligible players, and the official first step in the NFL Draft process.
