The Florida Gators‘ men’s basketball team has been picked by the media to win the Southeastern Conference this season. Three Gators, Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh and Boogie Fland, also earned preseason All-SEC honors.

Condon, Florida’s top returning scorer, was named to the first team, while Haugh and Fland were selected to the second team. The preseason poll was voted on by a panel of SEC and national media members.

This is the third time since 1989 that Florida has been chosen as the SEC’s preseason favorite. The Gators also earned that honor in 2006-07 and 2010-11, winning the conference title in both seasons.
