Todd Golden on FSU
“Luke [Loucks] has done a great job. I think they’re playing with a lot of purpose. They’re taking a lot of the kind of NBA mentality. They’re trying to play fast. They’re playing in transition a lot. They’re shooting a lot of 3s. I know that’s a goal for them to get a lot of attempts up. They don’t settle for any mid range jumpers. They’re trying to get pressure on the rim. And then defensively, they’re just switching defenses quite a bit. So I think, you know, just trying to keep teams on their toes, create a little bit of chaos, create some turnovers that’ll give them transition. But I think, first of all, they’re really good. I think they did a good job kind of putting this roster together. They’re really old. They start five seniors, and then they have some good young guys that come in, and they play with good purpose. They’re shooting a lot of 3s. They’re trying to spread you out.”
Game notes
* Florida has won eight straight home games dating back to last season and is 30-2 in the O’Dome since the beginning of the 2023-24 season.
* Florida looks to extend its run of four straight wins vs. FSU. The series has been streaky in recent years with UF’s successful stretch coming in the heels of seven straight for FSU (2014-20), which was preceded by five consecutive Gator wins (2009-13).
