Gators climb again in On3 recruiting team rankings

The Florida Gators are red hot on the recruiting trail.

UF had only one commitment two months ago and was outside the top 75 of the On3 recruiting team rankings. Well, look at Billy Napier’s program now.

With Saturday’s pledge from Brunswick (Ga.) 4-star tight end Heze Kent, UF now claims 18 commitments and the No. 12 recruiting class. After the addition of Kent, the No. 14 tight end and No. 158 overall recruit nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings, the Gators powered past Florida State, Tennessee and Texas in the rankings. Also of note, UF has the fifth best class among SEC programs. Southern California holds the No. 1 spot in the rankings.

Kent chose Florida over FSU, Miami and Texas. Below is a look at the rest of the Gators’ commit list.

CJ Bronaugh, CB, Windermere (Fla.)
Commitment date: 6/18/25
On3 Industry Rankings: No. 14 CB, No. 106 overall, No. 12 in Florida
Height/Weight: 6-foot-1, 175 
Key Stats: Two-time Class 4A state champion in the 100-meter dash (he clocked a 10.34-second time this year). Also, Bronaugh ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at an Under Armour Camp in May.

Key Stats: Last season, he recorded 38 receptions for 757 yards — a 19.9-yard average — and 12 touchdowns. In total, his high school career includes 82 catches for 1,579 yards and 26 touchdowns.
