Gators Online Show Scrimmage Preview Spring Camp Takeaways Florida Football

Welcome to the Gators Online Show! For episode 85, co-hosts Zach Abolverdi and Nick de la Torre preview the first scrimmage this spring and share their takeaways from the first half of camp.

We open the show with a shoutout to Florida coach Todd Golden and the UF men’s basketball team for a turnaround season in 2023-24. Golden and his staff will now look to work the transfer portal.

We then share our thoughts from the first half of spring ball for the Florida football team, including biggest takeaways coming out of camp, standout players, areas of concern and more.

We also preview the Gators’ first scrimmage on Saturday in The Swamp and some of the storylines we’re monitoring, including the impact of the new assistant coaches and midyear transfers.

We wrap up the show by discussing an up-and-down week for Florida baseball. UF won the series at No. 5 last weekend but dropped another midweek game against rival Florida State.

The Gators (14-10, 4-2) are back in action on Friday against Mississippi State and will look to win their six straight weekend series.
