The Florida Gators believe they’ve turned the corner after beating No. 9 Texas in The Swamp on last Saturday, 29-21. Oddsmakers aren’t so sure.

BetMGM, the official betting partner of On3, has made Florida an 8.5-point underdog vs. the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies, whom UF faces Saturday in College Station, Texas. The over/under is 46.5 points.

The Gators were 5.5 point underdogs against Texas.

Saturday’s game will begin at 7 p.m. ET and be televised on ESPN.

Florida is 3-4 all time vs. Texas A&M but 2-1 against the Aggies in College Station.

UF is 2-3 overall, 1-1 in the SEC after stunning the Longhorns in the Swamp. Quarterback DJ Lagway was 21 of 28 for 298 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Running back Jadan Baugh finished with 107 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. Dallas Wilson, in his Gators debut [he’s been injured] had six catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns, one going for 55 yards. And the Florida offensive line was dominant against the nation’s No. 2 scoring defense.

Meanwhile, the Florida defense had yet another strong outing. The Gators intercepted Texas quarterback Arch Manning [16 of 29, 263, 2 touchdowns] twice and sacked him six times. UF had just three total sacks entering the game.

Texas A&M, 5-0 and 2-0, beat Mississippi State 31-9 at home on Saturday. Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed has thrown for 1,256 yards, 11 touchdowns and 3 interceptions this season. Meanwhile, running back Le’Veon Moss leads Texas A&M with 343 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The Aggies defense has come to life the past two games with strong showings against Auburn and Mississippi State.

Reed, a sophomore, had his breakout college game last year in a 33-20 win over the Gators in Gainesville. He completed 11 of 17 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns while adding 83 rushing yards and a score on 13 carries.
