Gators QB DJ Lagway adds to growing list of NIL endorsements

Florida quarterback DJ Lagway has added another major NIL deal to his name, this time partnering with Mercedes-Benz of Gainesville, which he announced on Instagram on Monday.
The deal comes after what was easily Lagway’s best performance of the season, leading the Gators to a 29-21 upset win over No. 9 Texas.
After a slow start through the first four games, the sophomore quarterback bounced back in a big way this past Saturday, completing 21-of-28 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Arch Manning and the Longhorns at the Swamp. The Gators are now 2-3 on the season and will look to build off the momentum as they head on the road to face Texas A&M this weekend.
Lagway’s growing presence off the field is just as notable. In recent months, he’s also signed high-profile NIL deals with Jordan Brand and Chipotle, the latter in partnership being with former Florida basketball star Walter Clayton Jr.
Mercedes-Benz of Gainesville has been active in the NIL space, previously signing former Gators QB Graham Mertz last year. Now, Lagway becomes the latest face of the program to represent the brand.
