Georgia Tech staffer Ryland Goede joining Gators
Former Power 4 tight end Ryland Goede is joining the new coaching staff with the Florida Gators. Goede, a quality control staffer on offense at Georgia Tech last season, will have a similar role at UF, Gators Online has learned. Goede arrived in Gainesville on Sunday.
With Goede’s addition, UF’s staff will have even more of a Georgia Tech flavor to it. He will join offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner and assistant quarterbacks coach A.J. Erdely, who also have left Tech for UF, along with offensive analyst Emil Ekiyor, H-backs coach Dylan Dockery and assistant offensive line coach Mike Polly.

Goede, a native of the metro-Atlanta area, played four seasons at Georgia, one at Mississippi State and one at Georgia Tech. In 2024, his lone season with the Yellow Jackets, Goede played in 11 games, making five starts at tight end and catching six passes for 70 yards. He had a touchdown catch in his final college game at the 2024 Birmingham Bowl.
At Georgia Tech, Faulkner was his offensive coordinator.
Goede was a 4-star prospect and the country’s No. 6 tight end coming out of Kennesaw Mountain High (Ga.). He was an all-state pick and the school’s all-time leader in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end.
