Florida and No. 5 Miami will meet next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on ABC, bringing another chapter to their in-state rivalry. The SEC announced the kickoff time just moments ago.

The Gators enter the matchup licking their wounds after a 20-10 loss at No. 3 LSU on Saturday night. Quarterback DJ Lagway threw five interceptions in the defeat, a career high, and costly mistakes kept Florida from building momentum. The defense played well enough to keep things competitive, but penalties and turnovers proved too much to overcome.

Miami, meanwhile, rolled to a 49-12 win over USF earlier in the day at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes jumped out quickly and never looked back, using an efficient passing game and a strong rushing attack to dominate the Bulls. Mario Cristobal’s squad remains undefeated and is gaining steam early in the season.

This meeting comes just a year after the two programs opened the 2024 season against each other in Gainesville. Miami won that contest 41-17, racking up over 500 yards of offense in a statement road victory led by the Titans’ No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward.

Now, the scene shifts south with fans throughout the Sunshine State focused on Florida and Miami once again. For Billy Napier, it’s a chance to bounce back and quiet some of the noise surrounding the program and his job security. For Cristobal’s Hurricanes, it’s another opportunity to prove they are trending as one of college football’s top programs.
