GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators won their second straight rubber match Saturday with a 9-3 victory over Alabama for their sixth SEC series in a row. UF sent the seniors out in style in the final regular season home of the season.

Florida’s two offensive seniors, shortstop Bobby Boser and Ty Evans, both homered along with Brody Donay, who started his second straight game at center for Luke Heyman (broken forearm).

After the Crimson Tide cut the deficit to 4-2, UF put up a five-spot in the bottom of the fifth inning and Boser drove in two more runs with his second hit. The Gators finished with 12 hits as a team.

Florida starting pitcher Aidan King delivered another masterful performance on the mound, striking out eight Alabama batters and allowing just one earned run in 6.1 innings to earn the win (6-2).

UF honored four seniors before the game: Boser, Evans and pitchers Billy Barlow and Pierce Coppola.

Below are live updates from the Gators (37-19, 15-15 SEC) and the Crimson Tide (40-15, 16-14 SEC).
