Miami WR commit Chance Robinson sets Florida Gators official visit

Although he recently made a commitment to nearby Miami, four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson is still exploring his options.
One of the schools still on his radar is the University of Florida; in fact, the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas has an official visit scheduled for June 9-11. He reported the news on his Twitter this evening.
Additional prospects scheduled to visit that weekend include tight end Walter Matthews, offensive tackle Michael Uini and wide receivers TJ Moore and Jerrae Hawkins. Each of them are equipped with four stars.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Robinson is the No. 24 wide receiver and No. 135 prospect overall. He is a top-20 prospect in the talent-rich Sunshine State as well.
“It was great. Me and coach Billy G, it was amazing. I got to see how him and Billy Napier develop their receivers and how this offense and staff are centered around the receiver,” Robinson told Gators Online after visiting UF in March.
“I wasn’t even aware (of coach Gonzales’ track record) coming in. Now, I know that they’ve had guys coming in and out of the league to be great receivers and great men. I didn’t know that Billy G really affected guys like that until he got here. He showed me with how he is that he’s a real guy.”

During that visit, the On300 prospect spent an extended amount of time with Billy Napier as well.
“He just says he loves me a player, but he likes me better as a person,” Robinson said of Napier. “He loves my release, at the line, my explosiveness and how I’m physical. I can see how I fit here at UF. He says he does his homework and that is was great to meet me and my folks.”
Several programs will play host to Chance Robinson
Flipping Robinson away from the Hurricanes is not going to be easy; however, luckily for the Gators and other programs, the 2024 prospect is taking his visits. That at least keeps the door cracked open.
Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Michigan, Miami, LSU, Tennessee, Penn State and South Carolina are some schools that have offered a scholarship as well. Auburn and Penn State have linked to summer official visits as well.
“I love the weather, the coaches, the staff, everything. UF has a wonderful education,” said Robinson.
