Once a touted recruit, Florida Gators receiver Dallas Wilson is a player Gator Nation is eager to watch on Saturdays in the fall. So is Pro Football Focus, which recently named the Tampa Bay Tech (Fla.) product one of “the 10 true freshmen who are best positioned to make an immediate impact” in 2025.

Wilson came in at No. 4 on the list with Michigan QB Bryce Underwood at No. 1.

Wrote PFF of Wilson: “After an incredible spring game performance, Wilson projects as one of Florida’s starting wideouts in 2024 along with Eugene Wilson III and J. Michael Sturdivant. In that scrimmage, Wilson caught 10 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a twitchy player at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds who’s much better after the catch than most receivers his size. Wilson is also a very physical player who takes a lot of pride in his run blocking, which will help him see the field, too. Also, keep an eye on Vernell Brown III in that receiving corps, who was rated even higher than Wilson was as a five-star recruit.”

Per Zach Abolverdi of Gators Online, Wilson currently is sidelined with a lower leg injury and “will be out for a couple weeks, according to sources.” Gators Online will continue to provide the most current intel regarding his situation.

Dallas Wilson had a big spring for the Gators

When healthy, Wilson has been very good in Gainesville ahead of his college debut. He set a school record in the Orange & Blue Game with 195 receiving yards. He caught 10 receptions, including two red-zone touchdowns and a long of 31 yard in that outing. Gators Online reported earlier this month Wilson had been working with the starting offense during the first week of training camp.
