Report: More Georgia Tech staffers headed to UF
Three more Georgia Tech football staffers are heading to Gainesville, per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. They are, offensive analyst Emil Ekiyor, H-backs coach Dylan Dockery and assistant offensive line coach Mike Polly. They join offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner and assistant quarterbacks coach A.J. Erdely, who also have left Tech for UF.
Polly is a coaching veteran with 17 years of college experience. Before working at Georgia Tech, he spent 11 seasons at Middle Tennessee, as running backs coach (2013-15), offensive tackles/tight ends coach (2016-21) and offensive line coach (2022-23). From his Georgia Tech bio, “he also served as the Blue Raiders’ special teams coordinator from 2014-21 and run game coordinator from 2016-23.”
At MTSU, Polly coached 10 all-conference performers. One of them was two-time all-Conference USA offensive lineman Robert Jones, who is now a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to working with Faulkner at Georgia Tech, Polly coached with him at Murray State (2010) and Middle Tennessee (2013-15).
