SEC Nation crew traveling to Gainesville for Florida-Texas game

SEC Network announced Sunday morning that its weekly traveling show, SEC Nation, will be on hand in Gainesville this weekend as the Florida Gators host the No. 10-ranked Texas Longhorns. Florida graduate Laura Rutledge hosts the show for her ninth season, and her 10th overall. She’s joined by Gator great Tim Tebow, Paul Finebaum, Jordan Rodgers and Roman Harper.

It all begins on Friday with The Paul Finebaum Show. Fans are encouraged to arrive ahead of the show’s broadcast from 3 p.m until 7 p.m. ET. On Saturday for SEC Nation at 9 a.m., fans can show up early to secure a spot at the front for a chance to meet the talent, be on TV and win giveaways.
Additionally, Marty & McGee Presented by Old Trapper will be live on Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. ET as Marty Smith and Ryan McGee bring viewers the latest headlines, across the SEC landscape. Marty & McGee will be live on the road with SEC Nation every Saturday this fall.
The Florida Gators and Texas Longhorns will kickoff this coming Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The SEC announced late Saturday that the game will broadcast on ESPN.
This weekend is the first SEC game for Texas in The Swamp
Texas holds the edge against Florida all-time when these two teams meet. The Longhorns have 3 wins over Florida all-time, and these team’s have also tied once in a 1924 meeting. Texas joined the SEC in the 2024 season, and won a matchup against Florida in Austin, 49-17. This year’s meeting in Gainesville will be the second time they’ve played in Gainesville, and first time they meet as conference opponents.

Texas heads into this weekend with a 3-1 record, while the Gators sit at 1-3 at this juncture of the season. Both programs are also coming off a BYE week ahead of their matchup.
