Per the SEC, “each SEC team plays the other 15 teams at least once during league play. Three teams will be played a second time during the schedule – two which are permanent opponents and one that will change each year.”

2025-26 SEC opponent breakdown

Home and away: Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina
Home only: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee
Away only: Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt

Seven of Florida’s nine home SEC opponents were NCAA Tournament teams, including a Final Four rematch against Auburn and Kentucky’s return to Gainesville. The Gators will face UK twice next season as their rotational two-game series in addition to their annual permanent home and away series with Georgia and South Carolina under the current scheduling format.

The Gators went 36-4 overall 14–4 in the SEC last season and won the SEC Tournament after finishing second to Auburn during the regular season. The Gators beat the Tigers in both meetings, first in Auburn and later in one national semifinal at the Final Four.

Florida’s upcoming non-conference schedule also is elite and includes games against some of college basketball’s biggest names. Among UF’s most notable games, the Gators face Arizona on Nov. 3 in Las Vegas to open the 2025-26 season, play at Duke in the ACC-SEC Challenge and complete in the Jimmy V Classic vs. UConn in New York City.
