The latest ESPN matchup predictor for the Florida Gators

For the Florida Gators, who fired Billy Napier as coach after the team’s most recent game, the big goals are off the table. But with a strong finish, UF potentially could still find its way into a decent bowl game. Right now, Florida sits at 3-4 overall, 2-2 in the SEC.

This Saturday, the Gators face another stiff test in No. 5 Georgia. Can interim coach Billy Gonzales rally the troops? Win, and a second-half surge is possible. Lose, and a winning season would seem unlikely.

Right now, the ESPN matchup predictor thinks the latter is more likely. It currently projects the Gators to go 2-3 down the stretch to finish 5-7. The ESPN predictor numbers shift throughout the season and are impacted by every result. For now, it’s not liking what UF has done in 2025.
