WATCH: Freshman QB Tramell Jones throws first career TD for Florida

The future of the Florida Gators‘ quarterback room was on display in the third quarter against Long Island.
Freshman Tramell Jones capped off a flawless drive by delivering his first career touchdown pass, connecting with tight end Tony Livingston from four yards out. The play extended Florida’s lead to 48-0 with 2:03 left in the quarter.
Jones, a former 4-star prospect, was sharp throughout the possession, completing all four of his passes for 54 yards before finding Livingston in the end zone. The Jacksonville native has showed poise and accuracy while serving as DJ Lagway’s backup.
It was a glimpse of what Billy Napier and his staff envisioned when they signed Tramell Jones as part of Florida’s 2025 recruiting class: a young passer with upside and the tools to develop behind Lagway.
