Another big Georgia target, Garner (N.C.) South Garner four-star offensive lineman Ekene Ogboko is stepping to the commitment table. The Bulldogs are in heavy pursuit of the No. 68 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Rankings.

Ogboko will choose between Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Notre Dame today at a ceremony at his high school.

Ogboko’s brother, Nnamdi Ogboko, is in his second season at Georgia. He’s been on campus at Georgia a bunch in his and his brother’s recruitment. Ogboko was in Athens for an official visit on June 7. He also took official visits to Clemson (May 30) and Florida (June 14).

Notre Dame is also on Ogboko’s board, though he was set to take an official visit to South Bend this weekend.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Georgia. The Bulldogs have a 90.6 percent chance of landing the four-star offensive tackle.

The who, when and where for Ekene Ogboko’s commitment

Finalist: Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Georgia

When: 1 p.m. EST.

What has he said about Georgia?

Ogboko has long felt like a priority at Georgia. Recently, he has had his eyes on what Georgia can do for him in the long term by way of development.

“Anywhere you go, you need to be developed because at some point it has to happen because in the NFL you don’t want to be getting developed, you want to be where you are and you want to go to a place where you’re going to get devoleped into a first round draft pick,” Ogboko said last week. “I just want a place where I know already has that history of developing those types of players into first-round draft picks.”

Following his official visit, Ogboko spoke highly of Georgia’s plan to develop him, as well as the importance of the addition of offensive assistant Phil Rauscher.

“It was everything, honestly, it was a great visit all-in-all, the development, the plan they had for me, and all the linemen that they’ve had drafted in the last five or six years under Kirby Smart all stood out,” Ogboko told DawgsHQ. “They develop the position. They get guys drafted in the first round. That just shows what they do with offensive tackles. Coach Phil Rauscher from the NFL, I like him a lot, too. He’s a good coach.”

Ogboko also felt the love for his family in Athens.

“Everything went great,” Ogboko said. “There was a lot of hospitality. I had some time to spend with my brother, so that was good to see him. Overall, everything was great. They treated us like a top priority…Their vibe was good. It opened their eyes, being able to see how Georgia was without my brother being there and how it would be for me individually.”

The Big Picture

Ogboko has been a top target for Georgia since he got to high school. The Bulldogs have been in pursuit of a tackle and missed on five-star Jackson Cantwell last month.

The Bulldogs need to continue to stock the cupboard at offensive tackle for the years ahead. Monroe Freeling and Earnest Greene are in place today. Bo Hughley, Jah Jackson and others wait in the wings. Georgia hopes to have another wave of talented replacements once the current group moves on.
