LOOK: Dylan Raiola's sister offers pro-Georgia response to Dan Orlovsky's tweet

It certainly appears as if Georgia has built some strong momentum with five-star-plus quarterback Dylan Raiola. ESPN NFL and College Football analyst Dan Orlovsky tweeted Sunday night that “big things” are happening in Athens. Considering his ties with Raiola, that’s not a difficult connection to make but that’s especially the case when Raiola’s sister, Taylor, quoted the tweet and threw in a few dog emojis.

Please don’t think the quirkiness of it all is lost on us, but this is the age we live in.

Orlovsky tweeted, “Hearing big things happening in ATHENS,” while tagging Georgia football at the end of the tweet and adding eyes and fire emojis. The instant assumption is that Orlovsky is referring to Raiola. The two have a close relationship with Orlovsky serving as Matthew Stafford’s backup in Detroit when Raiola’s father, Dominic, was the starting center.

That assumption appears to be correct as the edit history on the tweet says that it originally said “Most talented player at the position since Stafford….”

Orlovsky told Simmons in March of last year that Raiola reminds him of Patrick Mahomes and that he’s as gifted as any quarterback he has seen in a long time.

“I think he is very aware of how talented he is and I think he is very aware of how bright his future could be, but I don’t think in any way that he is caught up in it,” Orlovsky said.

“He has special ability, special character, special drive, and special motivation. I honestly believe Dylan will be a No. 1 pick. He has what it takes to be that guy.”

Georgia is the team to beat according to Raiola’s On3Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Bulldogs hold just under 70 percent of the feature. USC is next with 18.4 percent, followed by Ohio State and Nebraska.
