After 18 seasons as an expert color analyst, Eric Zeier will no longer be in the booth to call Georgia football games in 2025. He’ll be replaced by former UGA offensive lineman and Cartersville High School product Josh Brock. The announcement was made on Monday by Learfield and Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing.

He’ll join Director of Broadcast Operations and Voice of the Bulldogs Scott Howard, who has been calling Georgia games full time since the 2008 season. Howard started in the radio booth for the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network in 1993.

“We are excited to have Josh join the best broadcast team in college football, UGA senior associate athletic director Alan Thomas said in the release. “He will bring great perspective and will be a great fit with Scott Howard. We will miss Eric as he takes a step back from the booth, but we are excited to find new ways to use his insights and analysis in supporting roles of our programming.”

“I can’t wait to work with another great Bulldog,” Howard said. “I first met Josh during his playing days at UGA. He and Shock were teammates and will be again. With his knowledge of the game and Georgia, Josh will be a terrific addition to the Bulldogs Sports Network radio team.”

Brock’s career at Georgia spanned from 2002 to 2005. He was a full-time starter in 2003 when the Bulldogs played in the SEC Championship game. He was also on the team for SEC titles in 2002 and 2005. Georgia, with Mark Richt as the head coach, racked up a record of 44-9 while Brock was on the team.

As far as experience goes, Brock has worked the sideline for Cartersville High School in addition to hosting multiple Georgia radio shows. He has worked the call-in show “Bulldogs Live” and a postgame show called “Dawg Talk.”
