Four-star LB Shadarius Toddle flips back to Auburn

After flipping his commitment from Auburn to Georgia over the summer, Cottage Hill Christian (Mobile, Ala.) linebacker Shadarius Toodle has reversed course. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the four-star linebacker has flipped once again, back to the Tigers.
At 6-foot-3 220 pounds, Toodle is ranked as the nation’s No. 244 overall player per the Rivals Industry Rankings, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the nation’s No. 13 linebacker and the No. 13 player in Alabama.
Toodle was in attendance for Georgia’s 20-10 win over Auburn on Saturday. He also took a visit to Georgia earlier in the season.
Auburn initially got Toodle on it’s commitment list in late July of 2024. He remained there for nearly 11 months. He took an official visit to Georgia on May 16, allowing the Bulldogs to grab some serious momentum in his recruitment.
He then took official visits to Michigan, North Carolina, Florida, Auburn, and Baylor. Just nine days after his visit to Auburn concluded, Toodle flipped his commitment to Georgia on June 22, 2025. After the visit to Auburn this weekend, the talented defender even told DawgsHQ that he was solid to UGA.

“I’m still locked in with Georgia,” Toodle said. “Me and my family love Georgia.”
“There’s like the relationships we built with all the coaches, and I have relationships with the players and how they treat my family,” Toodle said. “Every time we come up, how they treat us is like we’ve been there since day one and stuff like that.”
Georgia now has just one inside linebacker committed in the 2025 class, Nick Abrams. He, too, is flirting heavily with another. Michigan is a major threat to the Bulldogs when it comes to signing the Maryland native.
Prior to the 2026 class, Georgia had signed a five-star linebacker in three-straight cycles. It signed the nation’s No. 1 linebacker in each of the 2024 and 2025 classes.
