The latest Rivals Rankings have been released and shone favorably for Georgia quarterback commit Jared Curtis. The Nashville Christian star has been named the number one quarterback in the 2026 class and No. 2 overall prospect in the cycle.

Curtis had fallen behind Texas quarterback commit Dia Bell briefly after summer evaluations. Curtis has kicked off his senior season hot at the high school level.

The five-star signal caller has already thrown for 515 yards, seven touchdowns in three games. Curtis has run for 193 yards and three touchdowns as well.

He created buzz nationally for his big game against Tennessee rivals Ensworth. That night, Curtis threw for 189 yards, three touchdowns, and ran for 134 yards and three touchdowns in an overtime win.

Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power had high praise for Curtis following that game. He popped in the share his thoughts on the DawgWalk during and following the game. Power highlighted Curtis’ dual-threat ability and athleticism.

“Curtis is tough to bring down in and out of the pocket,” Power wrote. “He shrugs off arm tackles. That’s something that’s key for QBs in college and the NFL. The creativity as a scrambler and short yardage should carry over, too. Obviously, defenses in the SEC are much faster, so I wouldn’t expect as many long runs, but I’d expect Curtis’ mobility to show up at that level. His top-end speed is solid, but it’s more about the creativity, power, and physicality. If he can cut off 1-2 tenths at UGA, then I think you’re talking about something a little different.”

Curtis’ future teammates are taking note as well. Four-star wide receiver commit Ryan Mosley has watched Curtis’ highlights.

“I haven’t seen him play this year, but I’ve been watching his highlights and he’s good,” Mosley told DawgsHQ on Friday.
