Wes Johnson continues to hit the transfer portal yard, just like he has during his first two seasons at Georgia. The Bulldogs have added another pitcher and a high-average outfielder to the mix. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, UGA has signed East Carolina right-handed pitcher Brad Pruett. It has also secured a commitment from UNLV outfielder Cole Koniarsky.

Pruett played his freshman season at Oklahoma before spending one season at ECU. The 6-foot-3 210-pound righty appeared in 28 games for the Pirates with five starts. He finished the year with a 5.32 ERA in 66 innings of work where he struck out 70 batters and walked 34. Pruett also allowed 54 hits but only five left the yard. Batters managed to hit just .224 off him in 2025.

At Oklahoma in 2024, he completed just seven innings in 10 appearances, allowing four home runs. He struck out nine batters. Pruett joins at least five other pitchers who have committed to the Bulldogs via the transfer portal. That list includes Matt Scott (Stanford), Dylan Vigue (Michigan), Caden Aoki (USC), Grant Edwards (New Orleans) and Kenny Ishikawa (Seattle), who is a two-way player.

Koniarsky is getting ready to play for his third team in as many seasons. He started his career at UC-Riverside in 2024 before making the move to UNLV. He has proven to be a tough out in booth of his seasons of college ball.

The 6-foot-3 outfielder hit .361 with two home runs, 31 RBI and got on base over 41 percent of the time at UC-Riverside. Koniarsky appeared in 52 games with 232 plate appearances and struck out 36 times.

The punch outs decreases substantially in 2025 as he whiffed just 22 times in 238 plate appearances. He hit .363 with seven dingers and drove in 47 runs. His on-base percentage climbed from .411 to .441 from year one to year two. He also improved his slugging percentage from .471 to .549.

Koniarsky also brings a solid glove to the table. He was credited with just two errors in 53 games a season ago while recording just one outfield assist.
