Georgia adds elite offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko for Class of 2026

Georgia has been on the hunt for an elite offensive tackle in the Class of 2026, and on Wednesday, the Bulldogs landed their man, securing South Garner (Garner, North Carolina) lineman Ekene Ogboko.
The brother of Georgia defensive lineman Nnamdi, the 6-foot-6, 310 pound younger Ogboko becomes the eighteenth commitment of the Class of 2026 for the Bulldogs and the fourth offensive line pledge, joining Graham Houston, Zykie Helton, and Zachary Lewis.
Ranked as the nation’s No. 68 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 per the On3 Industry Ranking, Ogboko is the nation’s No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 5 prospect in North Carolina per the same metric.
His commitment is the culmination of almost two full years of pursuit, as Georgia pulled the trigger on his offer near the same time his brother came aboard for the Class of 2024.
“When I received the news, it was great, but it was also motivating for me to keep working and stacking days,” Ogboko said in June of 2023. “Coach [Kirby] Smart was the one to deliver the news. The message was that he knows that I will be a great fit for Georgia and that I can be one of the top tackles in 2026.”

Since that time, communication has continued to be at a fever pitch between Ogboko and the Bulldogs, with Georgia letting him know he was a priority at every turn. That included his recent official visit.
“Everything went great,” Ogboko said after that trip. “There was a lot of hospitality. I had some time to spend with my brother, so that was good to see him. Overall, everything was great. They treated us like a top priority…Their vibe was good. It opened their eyes, being able to see how Georgia was without my brother being there and how it would be for me individually.”
Prior to the commitment of Ekene Ogboko, Georgia held the nation’s No. 5 ranked recruiting class per the On3 Industry Rankings.
