The Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame announced its incoming class for 2024 earlier this week, and among the new members are nine former Georgia players. Headlined by the likes of SEC Championship winning quarterback David Greene and NFL All-Pro Thomas Davis, UGA was the most represented college in the third annual selection on Wednesday.

RB Lauren Hargrove (Fitzgerald)
RB/LB Len Hauss (Wayne County)
OL Edgar Chandler (Cedartown)
RB/LB Ben Zambiasi (Mount de Sales)
QB David Greene (South Gwinnett)
RB/DB Thomas Davis (Randolph-Clay)
TE Leonard Pope (Americus)
TE/DB Alec Ogletree (Newman)
QB Hutson Mason (Lassiter)

It’s a long list of accomplishments for the Bulldogs selected – exactly what you would expect for a hall of fame. For the quarterbacks, Greene was a USA TODAY All-USA Honorable Mention as a senior (completed 134 of 227 passes for 2,102 yards and 19 touchdowns) while Mason won All-Classification High School Player of the Year in Georgia. He became the state’s first high school quarterback to throw for more than 4,000 yards in a single season.

Meanwhile, highlights on the defensive side of the ball include Ogletree’s all-around impact (combined 14 blocked punts/kicks, five interceptions, two forced fumbles along with 33 catches, 633 yards and five touchdowns on offense) and Davis’ ability at multiple positions including running back, wide receiver, quarterback, defensive end, defensive back, punter, kicker and kick returner at various times throughout his career. As a senior, Davis led the region with 108 points scored during the regular season after a junior year that saw two kickoff returns, a punt return and a fumble return for touchdowns. He rushed for 1,032 yards his final season at Randolph-Clay, also playing basketball, baseball and running track for his high school.

Previous Georgia players to be inducted include 37 Bulldogs. They are listed below:
