Georgia no longer has 11 power four schools on its schedule for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The Bulldogs and Louisville have mutually agreed to cancel their home-and-home series set for those years, per a statement from UGA Sports Communications.

According to that statement, the teams will seek to play at a neutral site down the road. It’s also not the only ACC school Georgia is taking off of its future schedules. The Bulldogs were set to take on NC State in 2033 and 2034. That series has also been cancelled.

The SEC is moving to nine league games in 2025. It will also require each of its schools to play at least one non-conference game against a power four program. The Bulldogs have one of those built in already with Georgia Tech.

“Adding a ninth SEC game underscores our universities’ commitment to delivering the most competitive football schedule in the nation,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said. “This format protects rivalries, increases competitive balance, and paired with our requirement to play an additional Power opponent, ensures SEC teams are well prepared to compete and succeed in the College Football Playoff.”

Georgia also has future home-and-home matchups set with Florida State (2027 and 2028), Clemson in 2029 and 2030, and Ohio State in 2030 and 2031. UGA and Clemson are also set to play a home-and-home in 2032 and 2033.

Georgia’s entire 2026 schedule will be announced on Thursday night. The Bulldogs know which teams they will play next season, starting with Florida, Auburn, and South Carolina. Each of those teams are locked in as annual opponents through the next four seasons.

UGA will play Auburn, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma at home in 2026. It will play at Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. The annual showdown with Florida will take place in Atlanta instead of Jacksonville as the Jaguars’ TIAA Bank Field undergoes renovations. The 2028 schedule will mirror the 2026 schedule with home games and away games flip flopped.

Come 2027, Georgia will be at Auburn, Kentucky, TexasA&M and Texas. It’ll also play Florida in Tampa. The Bulldogs will host LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The 2027 slate will mirror the 2029 slate with home and away games flip flopped.
