Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Hall keeps coming back to football. Hall missed a lot of his first two years with injuries.

He went down with an apparent injury against Kentucky. Hall admits he’s got some things from his previous injuries that he’s still fighting off, but he will be on the field when Georgia faces Florida this weekend.

Hall knows that even after a bye week, there is no way to be completely healthy at this part of the football season.

“I mean, I’m fine. I mean, like I said, I’m able to play and run,” Hall told reporters on Tuesday. “So all my worries really out the window, I’m able to play. I still have lingering stuff from the surgeries. Patellar tendonitis, that’s just something I’ve been dealing with just because it’s post-surgical things, but outside of that, man, I’m fine, I’m ready to go. It’s just being here; it’s never easy. You’re never going to be 100 percent. It’s hard and it’s physical here. But it’s just, I’m feeling good, man, ready to play, that’s all.”

Jordan Hall just having fun, looking for why he keeps coming back

Hall has seen his share of injuries in his career. The defensive lineman continues to fight back and battle through injuries.

Hall admittedly can’t pinpoint what brings him back to the field other than a love for the game.

“Honestly, I’ve been still trying to find answers to why I do it, I mean, I guess. I mean, I really just love the game. I’ve been doing this since I was four or five years old. So that’s really all I know, honestly. But truth be told, I’m really still trying to figure out why I’m doing it.”

“I’m only 20 years old, I just turned 20, so I’m just young, just having fun,” Hall continued. “You know what I’m saying? I have an opportunity in a lifetime of being blessed physically, athletically, to play this game, and I’m trying to just make the best of it right now, but honestly, I can’t really give you a solid answer on why I do it. I just, I can say my family, but I feel like that’s a cliche answer. Deep down inside, I really don’t really know, I just love doing it.”

Georgia will travel to Jacksonville, Hall’s hometown, to face Florida in the annual rivalry game. Hall is looking forward to putting his stamp on the Georgia-Florida rivalry and playing in front of his family and friends.

“It means a lot, you know, being able to go back home and play in front of my friends and family in a city I’m used to,” Hall said. “So it’s fun. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime that I’m blessed to be a part of.”
