Georgia should know a lot more about its list of targets in the next couple of weeks. Multiple guys have recently announced their commitment dates and you can now add North Oconee EDGE Khamari Brooks to the list. The four-star prospect will make his decision known on Monday, June 23. He’ll choose between Georgia and Alabama.

Brooks recently narrowed his list to the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide. That came less than a week ago. That was simply a confirmation of what many already thought because Brooks had, in essence, already said it.

“I am kind of focused on Alabama and Georgia right now,” Brooks told On3’s Chad Simmons in early April. “Both are great programs, they have been winning for a long time and they have great coaches. It is neck and neck between those two at the top for me right now. Neither school has the edge for me right now. It is very close between Alabama and Georgia.”

At 6-foot-3 230 pounds, Brooks is the nation’s No. 115 overall prospect and the No. 17 EDGE in the 2026 class per the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the No. 13 player in the Peach State.

Brooks appears to be the top EDGE on Georgia’s board at the moment. If the Bulldogs are able to land him, there’s a very good chance that he’s the only EDGE the Bulldogs will sign in the current class. UGA signed three prospects at that position in the 2025 class — Isaiah Gibson, Darren Ikinnagbon, and Chase Linton. All three were among the top 10 EDGE players in that class and they all ranked inside the top 100 overall prospects.

Brooks plays his high school ball roughly 20 minutes from the Georgia football facility but the connection doesn’t stop there. UGA signed four-star wideout Landon Roldan out of North Oconee in the last recruiting cycle. The two players helped the Titans win the first football state championship in school history last season.
