Georgia eliminated from NCAA Tournament on Oklahoma State walk-off

Athens, Ga – Georgia baseball season came to a close at the hands of Oklahoma State on Sunday. The Bulldogs were eliminated in an 11-9 game at Foley Field. The Cowboys roared back in the ninth inning to tie the game.

Oklahoma State got a two-run walk-off home run from Brock Thompson in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Georgia got big offensive performances from Slate Alford (3-for-4, three runs, three runs batted in, two home runs), Christian Adams (4-for-5, four RBI, two home runs, two runs scored). Georgia was unable to add on in the top of the ninth after getting two runners on with no outs.

Georgia rallied from a 3-0 deficit early. The Bulldogs had a five-run fourth inning. The Bulldogs built a 7-3 lead. That lead was also chipped away by the Cowboys. Georgia pulled ahead again late and took a 9-7 lead into the bottom of the ninth.

Four runs in the bottom half ended Georgia’s season. Oklahoma State will now face Duke tonight at 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs finish 42-20.
