Georgia sustained multiple injuries in its 24-20 win over Florida. One of those was to redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Jordan Hall, and according to Kirby Smart, he’ll be out for awhile.

Hall will be out for “some time” according to the Georgia head coach. He added that he wasn’t sure how long the Bulldogs would be without him. Smart expressed optimism in Chris Cole coming back this week after exiting the Florida game early. Redshirt freshman cornerback Demello Jones is better than originally thought and might be able to play against Mississippi State this week.

Hall went down on Florida’s third play from scrimmage on Saturday after registering a half tackle for loss. Hall and Raylen Wilson combined to make the tackle behind the line of scrimmage on a screen pass and it appeared as if Wilson’s momentum carried him into the front side of Hall’s leg, which was already locked out in extension. The injury took place in Hall’s hometown of Jacksonville, Fla.

The former five-star prospect missed most of last season after sustaining stress fractures in each of legs. Each injury to his tibias required surgery, ones that slowed Hall for the rest of the season. He returned to action for the final four games of the regular season, preserving a redshirt.

Hall has played in all eight games this season, all starts, with 12 total tackles. He has also tallied two tackles for loss on the year.

Jones has not started a game this season, but he has played in seven of them. The Swainsboro native has served in the cornerback rotation for most of those games, sharing time with Ellis Robinson and Daylen Everette. He has given Georgia 17 total tackles and three pass breakups on the year.

Cole has also been a major contributor for Georgia, tying for the team lead in sacks with three. The sophomore from Virginia has played both inside and outside linebacker at different points, racking up 27 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and two pass breakups.

Georgia’s availability report for Florida had four players out. The Bulldogs were without senior wideout Colbie Young, who is likely done for the season with a broken bone in his lower leg. Redshirt sophomore safety Kyron Jones also missed his second straight game with a foot injury. Freshman wideout Talyn Taylor was out with a collarbone injury that required surgery. He has now missed three straight games. Freshman tight end Ethan Barbour is also done for the season with a dislocated ankle suffered in week two.
