Another week, another Georgia win, and another week where Georgia remains in the top five of coaches poll. The latest USM LMP Poll is out and Georgia stands pat after another thrilling win over Florida on Saturday.

The Bulldogs are the No. 5 team in the latest poll. Georgia is just behind two fellow SEC teams. Texas A&M checks in at No. 3 and Alabama falls in line at No. 4.

Ohio State and Indiana remained number one and number two, respectively.

The Bulldogs moved to 7-1 with the 24-20 win over Florida on Saturday. Georgia trailed late and took the lead on a Chauncey Bowens touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart praised his team’s resiliency once again on Saturday night.

“Yeah, opening statement is, this team just won’t go away,” Smart told reporters on Saturday night. “I mean, first of all, I want to give a lot of credit to Billy Napier, who assembled this roster, and he’s got a bunch of good, tough, physical players. That’s one of the biggest defensive lines, offensive lines we’ve played against, and they match us very well from a physical standpoint, and they’re hard to defend. They did a good job up front, stopping things; they made it tough, our kids are very resilient. Another night in the SEC. I don’t know what else is going on in the country right now, but when you play in this league, every game comes down to the last two possessions.

The Bulldogs will head to Starkville to face Mississippi State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. next Saturday.
