Georgia infielder Bryce Clavon enters the transfer portal

Bryce Clavon is the latest name to hit the transfer portal from Georgia’s baseball team. The Bulldogs’ season came to a close in the regional round of the NCAA Tournament last weekend with losses to Duke and Oklahoma State.
Clavon spent his freshman season at Georgia after a highly decorated high school career as a football player and baseball player at Kell High School.
Clavon was a Perfect Game All-American coming out of high school. He was ranked the No. 2 shortstop in Georgia.
Clavon saw time for Georgia throughout the season. He became a defensive sub at multiple positions throughout the spring. Clavon was also a key pinch runner on a few occasions. He played in 27 games and made one start.

Clavon hit .333, had one home run and drove in two runs in 15 at-bats.
The college baseball transfer portal opened on Monday following the conclusion of the regionals around the country in the NCAA Tournament. Georgia has seen its fair share of departures already.
Clavon joins Erik Parker, Charlie Jones, Wyatt Land, Trey King, Asher Sabom, Ethan Sutton, and Dylan Goldstein.
The Bulldogs have landed a new name. Kenny Ishikawa has committed to Georgia after spending last season at Seattle University. Ishikawa began his college career at Asia University in Tokyo. He is a native of Yokohama, Japan.
