Georgia rebounded on Saturday with a 35-14 win over Kentucky and the national media has taken notice. The latest Associated Press college football rankings poll placed Georgia back inside the top 10.

Georgia checks in No. 10 in the poll released on Sunday morning. Georgia dropped to No. 12 after the loss to Alabama two weeks ago in Athens. The Bulldogs entered the week looking to rebound.

That was the theme over the week, and coming out after the game on Saturday evening.

“Yeah, I was excited about our guys getting a fast start today,” Smart told reporters after the game. “I think that was the goal. It’s the goal every game, but to start early and start fast, I thought we had good energy on offense. I thought they had a good plan in terms of how to execute. Every time we play them, it’s really physical. It was physical again. It’s always going to be physical. I thought some players had some good individual performances.”

The national picture shook up a bit on Saturday. Penn State suffered a second loss in a row. This one came against winless UCLA 42-37.

Florida bested Texas in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday. Alabama earned a close win over Vanderbilt. Miami put up a win over Florida State. Ohio State remained the number one team in the AP Poll after the Buckeyes’ win over Minnesota.

Georgia will travel to Auburn to take on the Tigers on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
