Luckie wanted to make his own name in the Georgia spear.
“Obviously it’s always been there,” Luckie told DawgsHQ last year. “We’ve got Georgia stuff hanging up all around the house. It’s my parents’ favorite school. That’s not my main thing. I don’t care about that. I’m not super-bought into the legacy. I want to make my own legacy.”
The football fit at Georgia was obvious for the Georgia legacy.
“Georgia is Georgia,” Luckie said. “I’d be an idiot to not see what Georgia is football-wise. It’s one of the best programs that you can go to. Even with my brother out of the equation, it’s still one of my top places just because it’s close to home and you’d be an idiot not to see what they can do on the field.”
