Georgia lands the commitment of 2028 legacy TE Asa Wall

Georgia adds to the 2028 class with a commitment from Milledgeville (Ga.) John Miller Academy tight end Asa Wall on Sunday. Wall was on campus for a visit on Saturday, watching the Bulldogs face Ole Miss.
The pledge of Wall is Georgia’s first commitment in the class of 2028. Wall is the son of former Georgia fullback J.T. Wall. Wall’s father happens to be his high school football coach. The elder Wall was a two-way player in Athens. The younger Wall is also a linebacker at the high school level, but Georgia has circled him as a tight end.
Georgia tight end coach Todd Hartley has been a key in recruiting him.
“It was good getting the type of coaching from Coach Hartley and Coach Lilly that they give their players on a daily basis,” Wall said back on June 21.
He picked up his offer from Georgia in the summer during the Bulldogs’ 7-on-7 tournament. It was a special offer for Wall.

He has heard plenty of stories about what it’s like to play college football at Georgia. For Wall, those stories resonated. That put Georgia near the top immediately.
“I’ve always been very interested in Georgia,” Wall told DawgsHQ back on June 21. “Growing up in Georgia, it’s hard not to be a fan…I have grown up listening to stories about when my dad played for Georgia.”
