Georgia linebacker CJ Allen out of the game with an injury

Georgia will have to finish the game against Texas without leading tackler CJ Allen on Saturday night. Allen has been ruled ‘out for now’ with a ‘leg injury’.
Allen was seen walking toward the locker room in the second quarter. The junior linebacker had three tackles and a tackle for loss in the two quarters of play so far.
Georgia has leaned on Raylen Wilson and Chris Cole since Allen went down. The junior has become a key figure in Georgia’s defense, physically and spiritually.

“I wish he were out there every play. I mean, he’s a machine, he erases things,” Head coach Kirby Smart told reporters after Georgia’s win over Florida. “The kid practices so hard and wants to win so bad for Georgia. I don’t know that I’ve seen a kid that cared more about the team performance than CJ does. Now, a lot of people care about it. They’re not willing to practice like he does. He practices so hard that it comes across in his play. He’s a great leader, and I appreciate the work he puts into it.”
Georgia currently is leading Texas in the second half. More details will be added as they become available.
