Georgia loses the pledge of 4-star Brady Marchese to Michigan
Long-time Georgia four-star wide receiver commit Brady Marchese has flipped his pledge and signed with Michigan. The Cartersville star announced on Thursday, day two of the early signing period, that he intends to play for Michigan.
Marchese committed to Georgia on March 15. Michigan made a push in the summer. Marchese shut his recruitment down, and it appeared Georgia had survived Michigan’s push.
“My visit just solidified how great the winning culture is at Georgia and how they develop players,” Marchese told On3 after announcing he was sticking with Georgia in the summer. “I have been to Athens six or seven times, and each visit gets better. My commitment to Georgia is strong.”

Georgia’s official visit with Marchese was a major factor the first time around.
“My visit was awesome,” Marchese told Rivals’ Chad Simmons. “It is always great to talk football with and continue to build a relationship with coach Smart, coach Coley and coach Bobo and the rest of the coaching staff. Athens always feels like home. I got to spend some time with a few of the guys in the wide receiver room this weekend as well, which was cool.
Michigan never gave up. The Wolverines made a move late in the fall to land the pledge of the No. 101 overall prospect in the 2026 Rivals Rankings.
