Georgia National Championship ring nails details of Dawgs' 2021 season
The Georgia National Championship ring tells a story.
Jostens, the same ring company that designed the Braves’ World Series rings, also nailed the details of Georgia football players’ rings.
There just isn’t a lifting compartment to reveal LED lights and a miniature ballpark. But I think the Dawgs will be OK with that.
This ring still honors Georgia’s National Championship splendidly.

Notable details in the Georgia National Championship ring
Spiked Collar:
The 14 spikes on the ring collar represent 14 wins in Georgia’s National Championship season. I think this is my favorite part of the design.
Emphasis on the senior contributions:
Georgia football players will always think about the Dawgs’ 45 seniors when they see this ring. The number 45 shows up on the columns on the side of the ring, and in 45 diamonds distributed throughout the piece.
Messaging:
The team’s principles and motto appear in messaging around the ring.
‘Resiliency,’ ‘Toughness,’ ‘Composure,’ connection and ‘Family’ will put Kirby Smart’s voice in many a Georgia football players’ head when they look at their hard-earned hardware.
Georgia’s departing class received their rings at G Day.
Some current players told me they expect to get theirs this week.
Some details they could have used
I wrote last week about how I would design the Dawgs’ rings, or at least, how I thought Jostens could design them, if budget was no issue.

There are some similarities (I told you I liked the dog collar detail), but also some touches that I understand just weren’t possible.
You can’t really make an opening face for a college football team and staff with the numbers that Georgia has.
So there’s one design element in which the Braves have an edge over Georgia, if you’re into that sort of thing.
