Georgia RB Cash Jones 'enjoying the memories' in last ride
Georgia senior running back Cash Jones hasn’t had the option to take anything for granted in his career in Athens.
He came into the program as a walk-on. Jones made splashes on G-Days of yesteryear. By last season he was a key piece of Georgia’s running back rotation and figures to be another key part of it in 2025.
This will be his last ride at Georgia. Jones didn’t know what to expect for his junior season. He did not know if he’d be back. He is now.
Jones is heading into Saturday’s G-Day game scrimmage looking to continue to be in the moment for every one of his lasts at Georgia.

“You definitely just have to enjoy it,” Jones told reporters on Tuesday. “You’re never promised tomorrow. Every day just don’t take every day for granted. Just enjoy the memories.”
When giving advice to the newcomers, Jones echoed his mindset.
“Honestly, just going out there for the first time, you see some fans in the stands for the first time, it’s just kind of like take it in and just enjoying that moment,” Jones said. “It flies by like I’m already in my fifth year.”
G-Day kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
