Georgia secures pledge of five-star TE Kaiden Prothro

One of the nation’s best will keep his talents in the Peach State, as five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday.
A product of Bowdon, Georgia’s Bowdon High, Prothro ranks as the nation’s No. 29 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking. He is also the No. 2 tight end in the country and No. 4 prospect in Georgia for the cycle per the same metric.
The almost 6-foot-6, 216 pound pass catcher chose Todd Hartley and the Bulldogs over the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, and Texas Longhorns and gave Georgia a third tight end commit in the Class of 2026, joining four-star prospects Brayden Fogle and Lincoln Keyes on the list.
While three tight ends may seem a lot for one cycle, Prothro’s exceptional frame should allow him to function in roles across the Georgia offense aside from the traditional in-line play many may expect from the position.

The Bulldogs hammered that home throughout Prothro’s recruitment.
“Georgia is on top because of what they do, how the offense is run and the coaches,” he told Chad Simmons in late June. “They have answered all the questions, and I like Coach Hartley and Coach Smart. The standard at Georgia is high.”
That echoed earlier comments from Prothro as to how he could be utilized in the system.
“Being able to see the charts from the other schools compared to Georgia and how they’re putting guys in the league and how many tight ends coach Hartley has put in the league and seeing that kind of stood out to me,” Prothro told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson in early June.
Prothro becomes the twenty-ninth commitment for Georgia in the Class of 2026.
