Georgia has officially added its fourth transfer of the 2025 offseason. The program announced that former UTSA point guard Smurf Millender has signed and is officially part of the program. He joins the likes of Jeremiah Wilkinson (Cal), Justin Bailey (Wofford) and Kanon Catchings (BYU).

The 5-foot-9 guard was a bright spot for the Roadrunners in his sophomore season. He averaged 34.5 minutes per game where he hit an impressive 43.8 percent of his three-point tries. He also shot over 87 percent from the free-throw line. Millender averaged 14.9 points, three rebounds, and 3.3 assists per contest while committing less than two turnovers per game. He also led the AAC in three-point percentage.

UTSA managed just a 12-19 record on the year. Millender scored 20 points or more in four of the Roadrunners final five games of the season including a 24-point outburst against East Carolina in the second round of the American Athletic Conference Championship tournament. He also had seven rebounds in that game.

Despite his small stature, Millender was a consistent force for UTSA. He scored double digits in 17 straight games to end his sophomore year.

His first season of college ball was spent at South Alabama. There he averaged 9.7 points per game while playing 28 minutes per contest. He also shot 43.8 percent from beyond the arc. He has hit just under 44 percent of his 233 three-point attempts at the college level thus far.

Millender’s signing leaves Georgia with just one transfer portal commitment who hasn’t yet signed. St. Mary’s guard Justin Ross committed to the Bulldogs in April but has not yet officially joined the team. He, too, is projected to play point guard in Athens. Wilkinson and Bailey project as off-ball guards while Catchings is the Bulldogs’ long front-court addition from the portal.

Georgia was hit hard by the transfer portal at the end of the 2025-2026 season. RJ Godfrey, Silas Demary, De’Shayne Montgomery, Savo Drezgic, and Jordyn Kee all left the program via the portal for different schools. The Bulldogs also lost leading scorer Asa Newell after just one season. He has entered the 2025 NBA Draft.
