Another transfer guard is officially part of the Georgia basketball program. The school announced Thursday that former Wofford and South Carolina-Upstate guard Justin Bailey has signed with the program.

Bailey’s first two seasons were spent at USC-Upstate. He was only at Wofford for one season where he saw his points-per-game average drop to 9.6. Oddly enough, it’s by far his best season from beyond the arc. Bailey hit on 45.6 percent of his attempts from downtown.

Prior to that his career best was 34.2 percent as a freshman. He averaged 10.6 points per game in his first season of college ball and followed that up with an 11.8 points-per-game average as a sophomore. He is also averaging over three rebounds per game over the course of his career and has made over 75 percent from the free throw line.

The 6-foot-3 185-pound South Carolina native hung double digit points on Tennessee in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Bailey started the game and shot four of six from the field, two of three from downtown, and scored 10 points. He also hauled in three rebounds.

Bailey joins Cal transfer guard Jeremiah Wilkinson, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year in the ACC, as signees from the transfer portal. Georgia has added five players in total but the other three have not yet signed. That group includes former BYU forward Kanon Catchings, former Saint Mary’s point guard Jordan Ross, and former UTSA point guard Smurf Millender.

Georgia also lost some talent to the transfer portal, most notably junior guard Silas Demary. He’s headed to UConn. Second-year guards Jordyn Kee and Savo Drezgic also left the program along with senior forward RJ Godfrey and third-year guard De’Shayne Montgomery.

The Bulldogs are coming off their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years. Mike White got the team to the big dance in his third season at Georgia. The Bulldogs haven’t made the tourney in back to back seasons since 2002.
