Georgia stands pat in Week 10 coaches poll after second BYE

Georgia was idle for Week 9 of the College Football season and it did not move in the latest coaches poll. The Week 10 US LBM poll is out and the Bulldogs are still at No. 5. They are one of three SEC teams in the top five with Texas A&M at No. 3 and Alabama at No. 4.
The Aggies grabbed a comfortable win over LSU while the Crimson Tide came back from eight points down in the fourth quarter to win at South Carolina. Ohio State is still No. 1. It, too, was off in Week 9. Indiana is No. 2. The Hoosiers thrashed UCLA on Saturday.
Georgia has wins over a pair of top 15 teams in the latest coaches poll. Ole Miss, after winning 34-26 at Oklahoma, is in the No. 8 spot. Tennessee ranks No. 15 after a 22-point blowout of Kentucky in Lexington.
Next up for Georgia is The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party vs. Florida. The Gators haven’t been ranked since the early weeks of the season. They have dropped four games on the year and fired Billy Napier from his post as head coach this time last week. Wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales was tapped as the interim head coach.

Two of Georgia’s future foes, Mississippi State and No. 19 Texas, needed overtime to sort things out in Week 9. The Bulldogs from the central time zone blew a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter. The Longhorns tied it in the fourth quarter with a 79-yard punt return for a touchdown, and won the game in the first overtime by a score of 45-38.
One more future Georgia foe is also ranked in the latest coaches poll. Georgia Tech grabbed a homecoming victory over Syracuse on Saturday to stay undefeated in 2025. The Yellow Jackets are currently ranked No. 7. Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate will take place on Black Friday, November 28. The two teams will clash inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
