Georgia surges in team rankings after adding 4-star CB Caden Harris

Georgia is up one spot in the On3 Industry recruiting rankings after adding Haywood (Brownsville, Tenn.) cornerback Caden Harris. The Bulldogs flipped the 6-foot 170-pound cornerback, giving them 17 commitments in the current class.
That addition has Kirby Smart and company sitting at No. 4 in the rankings. Georgia leapfrogged Notre Dame for that spot and it is behind USC, LSU, and USC. The Bulldogs have now landed five prospects this week.
Two of those players were three-star offensive linemen in Zachary Lewis (North Gwinnett; Suwanee, Ga.) and Zykie Helton (Carrollton; Carrollton, Ga.). The other two players are kicking specialists in Harran Zureikat (First Chapel Area; Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Wade Register (Trinity Christian; Dublin, Ga.)
Harris is ranked as the nation’s No. 83 overall prospect and No. 12 cornerback per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the No. three overall prospect in Tennessee.

Vanderbilt got Harris on its commitment list back in April. He took an official visit to Georgia one week ago and the Bulldogs began trending for the flip almost right away. The Recruiting Prediction Machine started to trend toward Athens when Volquest Insider Austin Price made a prediction. On3 National Director of Recruiting, Chad Simmons, joined with a pick later in the week.
“Georgia made it kind of hard, and I’ve got to go back to the drawing board,” Harris told DawgsHQ on June 10, after his official visit. “I have to rethink some things. I needed to compare and to make sure that I’m making the best decision for me…It came down to Georgia and Vanderbilt the first time. Me going down there to see a little bit more, kind of put me in a position to make sure and think about some things.”
The addition of Harris gives Georgia five prospects in the 2026 class who are ranked inside the top 100 of the On3 Industry Rankings. Overall the Bulldogs have 12 commitments with a four-star rating or higher.
