Kickoff times set for Georgia vs. Alabama and Kentucky, other marquee games flexed by SEC

The showdown between Georgia and Alabama on September 27 will take place under the Sanford Stadium lights. The SEC announced a large number of game times and potential slots for its teams on Wednesday, revealing that the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide will get started around 7:30 p.m. ET.
It’s Alabama’s first trip to Sanford Stadium since 2015 when it housed the Bulldogs 38-10. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was the Crimson Tide defensive coordinator at that time. He was hired to his current post just a few months later.
UGA’s week-six contest with Kentucky (October 4), which will also be inside Sanford Stadium, will kick off at 12 p.m. ET per the SEC’s announcement. The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry will take place the following week, October 11, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Georgia and Auburn will get that one started in the evening with kickoff between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET
Ole Miss will come to Athens on October 18 and that game has been flexed by the league. There are four potential time slots — 3:30, 4:30, or 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET. Texas at Georgia on November 15 has also been flexed and has the same potential times.
Georgia at Mississippi State on November 8 will be an early kick. The Battle of the Bulldogs will get started at 12 p.m. ET, which means an 11 a.m. kickoff in Starkville. Georgia’s late-season tune up against Charlotte is set for a 12:45 p.m. ET start.

Georgia played the same SEC teams a season ago with the sites flip-flopped. Both Texas and Alabama were road games in 2024 and both were at night. Ole Miss was also on the road but it was a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff and 2:30 p.m. local. The Bulldogs game at Kentucky was also a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
Meanwhile, the Georgia home slate was much different. Its games with Auburn and Mississippi State were mid-afternoon starts. The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry kicked off at 3:30 p.m. ET in 2024 and the Battle of the Bulldogs started at 4:15 p.m. The only night kickoff UGA had at home was Tennessee.
