The ‘Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry’ will get another installment this evening as Georgia travels to Auburn to face the Tigers.

The Bulldogs come in 4-1, fresh off a 35-13 win over Kentucky last weekend in Athens. Auburn enters the game 3-2 and reeling from back-to-back SEC losses. The Tigers fell to Oklahoma three weeks ago and then dropped a 16-10 game to Texas A&M two weeks ago.

Auburn had a week off ahead of this game. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart credited Auburn for the gameday experience and atmosphere, as well as the Tigers’ physicality.

“What an atmosphere and an opportunity to play a night game at their place,” Smart told reproters on Monday. “They’ve got an incredible atmosphere, which is starting to be the common theme around our conference. But this place is really hard to play. They do an unbelievable of whatever you call the game interaction, the crowd, the fans, their students. Tremendous job they do. They’ve got a great football team.”

“They’ve played two really, really hard road games in our league against two of the premier teams in our league right now,” Smart continued. “They’re playing really good defensively. Got a lot of weapons on offense, got a lot of great skill players, a lot of great players on special teams. Always respect Coach Freeze’s teams. They will strike you and hit you, really physical all across the board. You see it on tape. You see the physicality on tape. That’s just the way it is in our league.”

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

First Quarter

Kickoff set for 7:44 p.m. Teams are going through coin tosses and both teams have hit their respective sidelines.

7:45 p.m. Auburn will start with the football.

8:02 p.m. Jackson Arnold concludes a 14-play 75-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown. Auburn leads Georgia 7-0.

8:25 p.m. Auburn back in Georgia’s redzone after another long drive closes the first quarter.

Second Quarter

8:29 p.m. Auburn connects on a 25-yard field goal. Auburn leads 10-0.

9:11 p.m. Arnold gets stopped on a short run at the goaline. The ball comes out and Georgia appears to recover. A review is incoming.

9:15 p.m. Play is still under review.

9:17 p.m. The call is upheld. Georgia will take over after the review.

9:27 p.m. Auburn cornerback Kayin Lee is called for targeting and ejected from the game.

9:36 p.m. Georgia ends long drive with a short Peyton Woodring field goal. Auburn leads 10-3 at halftime.

Third Quarter

10:00 p.m. Georgia will open the second half with the football.

10:15 p.m. Auburn is stopped on fourth down just shy of midfield. Georgia takes over.

10:17 p.m. Stockon connects with Noah Thomas on a long pass. On the next play, Chuancey Bowens powers in for a touchdown. 10-10.

10:35 p.m. Woodring nails a 53-yard field goal to take the first lead of the night. Georgia leads 13-10.

10:39 p.m. Auburn quickly goes three and out. The punt is not a good one and Georgia takes over around midfield.

End of the third quarter

Fourth Quarter

10:54 A Woodring field goal attempt goes wide right. Georgia holds a 13-10 lead.

11:20 p.m. Stockton keeps and scores from 10 yards out to extend Georgia’s lead after a nearly 9-minute drive. Georgia leads 20-10.

11:28 p.m. Auburn’s final play is an Arnold quarterback draw. Georgia wins 20-10.
